I didn't set out to become the person everyone texts before their Charleston trip — it just sort of happened. Between planning my own group's weekends downtown and fielding the same questions over and over from out-of-town brides ("is it walkable?", "where do we even eat with 12 people?", "is King Street worth it?"), I figured it was easier to write it all down in one place.
So that's what this site is. Not a sponsored listicle, not a hotel's idea of "local favorites" — just the honest version, from someone who actually lives here and has watched enough bachelorette weekends go right (and a few go sideways) to know what actually works for a group.
When I'm not adding new spots to this guide, I'm probably down at Shem Creek at sunset, arguing about which restaurant has the best she-crab soup, or helping some poor maid of honor talk her group out of trying to do six activities in one day.
